Jan. 3, 2013 – The first baby born in 2013 in Banks County Georgia was inside of Walmart.

Wednesday morning a Walmart shopper gave birth to a baby boy in a restroom at the store in Commerce.

The identity of the mother has not been released, but she told authorities she began having pains and went to the restroom around 8:00 AM.

There she gave birth to a baby boy.
According to authorities, when the paramedics got there, the baby had been wrapped up in some material to keep it warm.

According to officials, Mother and child were taken to Athens Regional Medical Center and were doing fine.
