Gainesville Market Moving to Green Street

GAINESVILLE – The Gainesville Farmers Market was scheduled to close this month to accommodate previously scheduled events on the downtown square. But the market will remain open through November at a different location.

Thanks to a partnership with First Baptist Church, the vendors will move to the church’s parking lot on Green Street.

Market Manager Steven Thomas said farmers who participate will have their fall crops ready to harvest and sell.

The fall market will be open on weekends from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m. starting today.
