Jul. 16, 2013 – Congratulations to Hall County Schools for win for safety yesterday.
The National Association of School Resource Officers presented the Hall County Board of Education and Superintendent Will Schofield with the 2013 Safe School Leadership Award at their annual national conference in Orlando, Florida.
Hall County Board Chairman Nath Morris and Sergeant Earl Roach, Hall County Schools Coordinator of Safety and Emergency Preparedness, accepted the award on behalf of the school system.
This is a big deal, because only one school district in the nation receives this prestigious annual recognition.
When it was first announced in June that Hall County Schools had been selected for this singular recognition for student safety, Superintendent Will Schofield remarked at that time, “I am thankful we have team members and a community that understands the importance of striving to ensure that our boys and girls are safe.
That is great news for the parents and students of Hall County Schools, especially with school starting back before you know it.
