Jan. 23, 2013 – In a Tuesday night vote, the board members of the Hall County Planning Commission cited overwhelming opposition of the name change by residents as they gave reasons for their recommendation.

The issue now goes before the Hall County Board of Commissioners.

Public hearings are set for Feb. 14 and 28, and the commission is set to take its final vote on Feb. 28.

Those meetings will take place at the Hall County Government Center, 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville.
