Man Charged With Burglarizing Gainesville Restaurants

GAINESVILLE – Gainesville police have arrested a man in connection with a string of burglaries in Atlanta and north Georgia, including two in Gainesville.

Cpl. Kevin Holbrook said 60-year-old Samuel Leon Mosley is believed to be responsible for the burglaries of the Pueblos and Kiku restaurants on Dawsonville Highway last month.

Investigators were able to obtain video and still photographs of the suspect committing the crimes but didn’t know who he was until Atlanta news stations ran video of the suspect committing similar crimes in and around Atlanta.

Mosley has been charged with two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree and one count of criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree.

He is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail, according to Holbrook.
