GAINESVILLE — Authorities have identified the man killed in that traffic accident on Browns Bridge Road Tuesday as 35-year-old David Thomas Freeman Junior of Gainesville.

Gainesville police report that Freeman was headed west on Browns Bridge Road on a motorcycle when an eastbound Toyota Camry driven by Helina Wheeler of Gainesville turned in front of him into the Cresswinds subdivision.

Lori Ann Burton, who works at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, saw the accident and stopped to render aid.

Burton said she notified 911 and tried to keep the man awake. “He told me he was 35 and married,” Burton said. “The last thing he said was, ‘it’s ok.’ He passed out before they got him into ambulance.” The accident is under investigation.
